Efflorescence & Limescale - Marble
Efflorescence and limescale deposits on marble can leave unsightly white or chalky marks, detracting from the stone’s natural beauty. Due to marble’s calcite structure, it’s essential to avoid using hydrochloric acid, which can etch and damage the surface. Instead, PureSeal recommends using phosphoric acid-based cleaners, which effectively dissolve these deposits without risking harm to the marble.
In cases of severe buildup, media removal methods may also be necessary to fully clear embedded deposits. For best results, follow product instructions closely, use a test patch to confirm compatibility, and apply appropriate PPE.
