Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last updated: September 2026 These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this website and, together with our Shipping Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, Privacy Policy and any other terms expressly referred to during checkout, govern purchases made from PureSeal Services UK Ltd. Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or placing an order. By placing an order with PureSeal Services UK Ltd, you agree to be bound by the terms applicable to your purchase. Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

1. ABOUT US

This website is operated by PureSeal Services UK Ltd (“PureSeal”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Our contact details and registered business information are displayed on our website.

2. BUSINESS AND CONSUMER CUSTOMERS

These Terms apply to both consumers and business customers unless expressly stated otherwise. A Consumer is an individual purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. A Business Customer is a person, company, partnership or other organisation purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes relating to a trade, business, craft or profession. Where these Terms contain separate provisions for Consumers and Business Customers, the provisions applicable to the capacity in which the order was placed will apply. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts statutory rights available to Consumers.

3. OUR CONTRACT WITH YOU

Products displayed on our website constitute an invitation to place an order and do not constitute an offer by PureSeal. When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the goods subject to these Terms. We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch where reasonably necessary, including where:
  • a product is unavailable;
  • there has been an obvious pricing or description error;
  • payment has not been authorised;
  • delivery cannot lawfully or safely be made to the supplied address;
  • regulatory or transport restrictions prevent supply;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse; or
  • we are otherwise legally entitled to refuse the order.
A contract for the supply of goods will normally be formed when we confirm acceptance of your order or dispatch the goods.

4. PRODUCT INFORMATION

We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, specifications, images, prices and other information displayed on our website are accurate. Product images are illustrative and packaging, colour, appearance or labelling may occasionally differ from images displayed online without materially changing the product. Where applicable, customers must follow the product label, instructions for use, technical information and Safety Data Sheet supplied or made available for the product. Nothing in this section affects a Consumer’s statutory rights concerning goods that are not as described, are not of satisfactory quality or are not fit for a particular purpose where the applicable statutory requirements are satisfied.

5. PRICES AND PAYMENT

Prices will be displayed on our website and applicable taxes will be identified where required. Delivery charges are calculated separately where applicable. Payment must be made using a payment method accepted by PureSeal. We may correct obvious pricing errors. If an error is discovered after an order has been placed, we will contact you before supplying the affected goods where appropriate.

6. DELIVERY

Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Customers should provide complete and accurate delivery information. Delivery times quoted on our website or by our carriers are estimates unless we expressly agree that delivery by a particular date is essential. Consumer statutory rights relating to delivery are not affected.

7. CHECKING DELIVERIES

Customers are requested to inspect deliveries immediately upon receipt or as soon as reasonably possible thereafter. Please check:
  • external packaging;
  • the number of parcels received;
  • the products and quantities supplied;
  • containers, lids, caps and seals; and
  • any evidence of leakage, damage or interference.
Visible transit damage, leakage, shortages, incorrect goods or incomplete deliveries should be reported to PureSeal within 24 hours of delivery wherever reasonably possible. Prompt reporting is important because carriers impose time limits for reporting and investigating transit damage and shortages. For Consumers, the 24-hour reporting request does not remove, shorten or restrict statutory rights. Additional requirements applicable to Business Customers are contained in our Shipping Policy.

8. DAMAGED OR FAULTY GOODS

If goods are believed to be damaged, faulty or defective, please notify PureSeal as soon as reasonably possible. We may reasonably request evidence to investigate the reported issue, including photographs, video, packaging, batch information and information about when the problem was discovered and how the product has been stored. Customers should retain affected goods and relevant packaging while an issue is being investigated. Where reasonably necessary, PureSeal may request an opportunity to inspect the affected goods or arrange their collection before determining the appropriate resolution. Collection or inspection does not constitute acceptance that goods were defective or damaged when supplied. Nothing in this section limits statutory Consumer rights. Further information is contained within our Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

9. CHEMICAL PRODUCTS

Many products supplied by PureSeal are chemical products and require appropriate storage, handling and use. Customers must:
  • read and follow the product label and instructions;
  • consult relevant Safety Data Sheets where applicable;
  • use appropriate personal protective equipment where required;
  • observe applicable health, safety and environmental requirements;
  • store products in accordance with the stated storage requirements; and
  • prevent access by children and unauthorised persons.
Products must not be mixed, diluted, transferred or used contrary to their instructions. PureSeal is not responsible for deterioration, contamination, damage or loss caused after delivery by incorrect storage, handling, mixing, application or use. Nothing in this clause excludes liability for goods that were defective or otherwise failed to conform to the contract when supplied where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. STORAGE-SENSITIVE PRODUCTS

Certain products, including some jointing compounds, sealers, coatings, resins and other chemical products, may be sensitive to moisture, temperature, frost, contamination, incorrect sealing or other storage conditions. Customers are responsible for following all storage instructions supplied with the product. Where a product has deteriorated or become unusable as a result of storage, handling or environmental conditions occurring after delivery, PureSeal will not be responsible for that deterioration. Specific restrictions concerning change-of-mind returns of storage-sensitive products, including jointing compounds, are contained within our Returns & Refunds Policy. Nothing in this section excludes a Consumer’s statutory rights where goods were faulty or non-conforming when supplied.

11. RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS

Returns, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Consumers

Consumers purchasing at a distance may have a statutory right to cancel eligible purchases within the applicable cancellation period. This right is separate from statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods. Certain goods or circumstances may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right where provided by law.

Business Customers

Business Customers do not receive statutory consumer cancellation rights. Any change-of-mind return by a Business Customer is subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy and requires prior authorisation from PureSeal.

12. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS

The following provisions apply specifically to Business Customers. Business Customers are expected to inspect deliveries promptly. Visible damage, shortages, incorrect products or other discrepancies that ought reasonably to be apparent on inspection must be notified to PureSeal in accordance with the notification requirements contained within our Shipping Policy. Where notification is delayed, PureSeal may, subject to applicable law, take into account any prejudice caused by the delay, including:
  • loss of the ability to pursue a carrier claim;
  • loss of delivery evidence;
  • disposal of packaging;
  • inability to inspect the goods in their delivered condition; or
  • inability to establish when damage occurred.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability to the extent that doing so would be prohibited by law.

13. CONSUMER STATUTORY RIGHTS

Where you are a Consumer, goods supplied by PureSeal must meet the standards required by applicable consumer law, including requirements relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose where applicable and correspondence with description. Where goods fail to conform to the contract, Consumers may have statutory remedies including, depending upon the circumstances, rejection, repair, replacement or a price reduction. Nothing in these Terms, our Shipping Policy or our Returns & Refunds Policy excludes, restricts or makes subject to an unlawful condition any statutory Consumer right or remedy.

14. WEBSITE ACCESS

We aim to make our website reasonably available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may temporarily suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security, technical or operational reasons. We will not be responsible for website unavailability caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

15. WEBSITE USE

You may use our website for lawful personal or business purposes. You must not:
  • misuse the website;
  • attempt unauthorised access to our systems;
  • introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • use website content unlawfully; or
  • use the website in a manner that infringes another person’s rights.

16. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, copyright and other intellectual property rights in our website, product information, photographs, graphics, training materials, manuals, documentation and other original materials belong to PureSeal Services UK Ltd or our licensors. Content may not be reproduced, distributed, republished, commercially exploited or modified without prior written permission except where permitted by law.

17. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience and do not necessarily constitute endorsement. PureSeal is not responsible for the content, security, availability or practices of third-party websites.

18. WEBSITE INFORMATION

We take reasonable care to ensure information published on our website is accurate. However, website information may occasionally contain errors or become outdated. Nothing on the website should be treated as overriding the product label, Safety Data Sheet, technical instructions or applicable law. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. LIABILITY – CONSUMERS

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts PureSeal’s liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights available to Consumers. PureSeal is not responsible for losses caused by misuse, inappropriate application, incorrect storage, failure to follow instructions or other acts occurring after delivery for which PureSeal is not legally responsible.

20. LIABILITY – BUSINESS CUSTOMERS

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for:
  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Subject to the above and to applicable law, PureSeal will not be liable to a Business Customer for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of opportunity or business interruption arising from the supply or use of goods. Any other limitation or exclusion of liability applies only to the extent permitted by law.

21. TRAINING COURSES

Where PureSeal or an associated training provider supplies training, additional course-specific terms may apply. Any applicable course requirements, cancellation provisions or assessment requirements will be communicated when booking.

22. APPEALING TRAINING ASSESSMENT RESULTS

If you wish to appeal an assessment result relating to one of our training courses, please email info@biocidetraining.co.uk stating:
  • your full name;
  • your invoice or booking number; and
  • a brief explanation of the grounds for your appeal.
We aim to respond within five working days.

23. TRAINING MATERIALS AND DOCUMENTS

Training materials supplied by PureSeal, including Approved Applicator manuals and course documentation, remain the intellectual property of PureSeal Services UK Ltd unless otherwise stated. Physical training materials supplied for use during a course remain the property of PureSeal until ownership is expressly transferred to the candidate. Copyright materials must not be copied, reproduced, stored, distributed, transmitted or made available to third parties without prior written permission except where permitted by law. Where a candidate does not complete a course and course materials have not been transferred to them, PureSeal may require those materials to be returned.

24. TRAINING COMPLAINTS

If you wish to make a complaint regarding one of our training courses, please email info@biocidetraining.co.uk with details of your complaint. We aim to respond within five working days.

25. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

PureSeal reserves the right to refuse future service, decline future orders or restrict access to its premises or services where there is a legitimate and lawful reason to do so. This may include fraud or suspected fraud, abusive or threatening behaviour, misuse of our services, repeated serious breaches of our terms, safety concerns or other circumstances where refusal is reasonably necessary to protect our staff, customers or business. We will not refuse service for an unlawful discriminatory reason or where doing so would otherwise breach applicable law. Refusing future service does not remove any rights or obligations arising from an existing contract unless that contract is lawfully terminated.

26. PRIVACY

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

27. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Changes will apply to use of the website following publication and to orders placed after the revised Terms take effect. Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms applicable to an existing order unless agreed or permitted by law.

28. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

29. WAIVER

If PureSeal does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we waive our right to enforce that provision later.

30. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and contracts entered into under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory protections available to Consumers under applicable law. For Business Customers, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any agreement otherwise made in writing. Consumers may bring proceedings in any court in which they are legally entitled to do so.

31. CONTACT

Questions concerning these Terms, an order or a product should be directed to PureSeal Services UK Ltd using the contact details displayed on our website.
