Iron & Rust - Resin Bond

Iron and rust stains on resin-bonded and bound surfaces are often caused by iron deposits within the aggregate itself. These deposits can be challenging to access, as they are encapsulated within the bonded surface. PureSeal’s iron and rust removers are formulated to penetrate and lift rust stains; however, in cases where the iron source remains embedded, stains may reappear over time.

For best results, apply the product directly to the stained area, carefully following the instructions to minimise impact on the resin bond. Always conduct a test patch to ensure compatibility, and use appropriate PPE for safe handling. While rust removal can significantly improve the appearance of resin surfaces, ongoing maintenance may be needed if the iron deposits are not fully accessible.
