Sealers - Polished/Honed Stone

For polished or honed surfaces, sealing requires precise application to achieve an even finish and optimal protection. With these types of surfaces, a single coat is usually sufficient, and it’s essential that no excess sealer is left pooling on the surface, as this can affect the final appearance. Additionally, the stone must be completely clean and free from any contaminants both within and on the surface to ensure a flawless result.

Given the unique characteristics of polished and honed stone, we advise sealing only if the stone has been installed correctly, as these surfaces can be susceptible to reflective staining and may absorb moisture from all sides and faces. Following these guidelines helps maintain the stone’s pristine look and provides effective, long-lasting protection.
