Failed Sealer
Dealing with a failed sealer can be challenging, whether it’s due to trapped moisture, uneven application, or weather-related issues. In many cases, trapped moisture beneath the sealer causes unsightly whitening or blooming. A simple and effective solution for this is applying xylene, which can re-emulsify the existing sealer and release the trapped moisture, restoring the surface without the need for full removal. This approach saves time and resources while allowing the sealer to properly bond with the surface again.
However, if the sealer has completely failed or the damage is too extensive, complete removal may be necessary. In these cases, a professional stripping gel is required to fully break down and remove the old, ineffective sealer. This will prepare the surface for a fresh application, ensuring optimal adhesion and long-lasting protection. Always follow the product instructions carefully, and use appropriate PPE during both the xylene application and stripping processes to ensure safe and effective results. PureSeal’s range of repair and removal solutions provide the flexibility to either repair or completely strip and reseal, depending on the situation.
