Dosing Equipment

Dosatron units will accurately dose liquid additives proportionately into water without electric power. Since each Dosatron responds directly to the volume of water passing through it, proportionality is maintained irrespective of fluctuations in water flow rate & pressure (within operating limits).

The Dosatron range offers dose rates from as low is 0.03% (1 part additive to 3,000 parts water) to 25% (1 part additive to 4 parts water) and operates at water flow rates from 5 litres per hour to 30m³/hr. Model selection generally depends upon water flow rate range, dose rate requirements and the nature of the additive being dosed. Dosatron units are used for the following:

• For softwashing – dosing sodium hypochlorite / surfactant mixture into water using the Dosatron D3RE25IE.
• Dosing of biocides for algae control / biofilm removal using the Dosatron D07RE5 (or other suitable model).
• Dosing traffic film removers & other cleaning products.

When it comes to dosing biocides, the most common Dosatron model used for this purpose is the Dosatron D07RE5AFV which offers dose rates from 0.8% (1 part additive to 125 parts water) to 5.5% (1 part additive to 18 parts water) at water flow rates from 5 to 700 litres per hour.

The Dosatron D3RE25IEVFV is often used for dosing a 14% sodium hypochlorite / surfactant mixture into water at dose rates up to 25% (1 part additive to 4 parts water) at water flow rates from 10 to 2,000 litres per hour.
